Safety Zone in Industry

Safety Zone in Industry

For many maintenance and production engineers, mid-October has long been synonymous with the SYMAS® MAINTENANCE Fair, which showcases solutions related to bulk material handling, maintenance, and production process optimization.

An important aspect that has always been addressed during the event—and which will once again be prominently highlighted—is safety in industry in the broadest sense.

Raising standards in this area requires constant access to up-to-date knowledge, the latest tools, and modern technologies. Implementing a “zero-accident” strategy and introducing improvements in risk assessment, hazard monitoring, incident management, and the safety of employees, processes, and entire factories are key challenges facing modern industry.

To meet these needs, we have created a new thematic zone where the latest innovations in occupational health and safety, machine safety, process safety, fire and explosion protection, and cybersecurity for industrial facilities will be presented.

In the industrial safety zone, visitors will be able to explore solutions in the following areas:

  • improving safety culture (training in fire protection, explosion protection, chemical and environmental rescue),
  • industrial signage,
  • anti-collision systems, barriers, and bumpers,
  • chemical and hazardous substance management (containers and drums for hazardous substances, safety cabinets, sorbents, cleaning agents),
  • industrial flooring, industrial mats, and anti-slip accessories,
  • augmented/virtual reality (VR) in occupational safety and health,
  • personal and collective protective equipment,
  • first aid supplies,
  • industrial fire protection equipment (spark detection and suppression systems, smoke exhaust systems, sprinkler systems, visual and audible alarm and notification systems),
  • access control systems,
  • lockout/tagout (LOTO) systems,
  • safety switches and relays (operator, cable, emergency, limit, and position switches),
  • safety sensors, vision systems, guards, safety curtains, and barriers,
  • hazardous substance detectors (gases, dusts, vapors),
  • safety measures for high-risk workstations,
  • explosion protection (safety flaps, venting devices, decoupling devices, shut-off valves, electrostatic grounding),
  • process safety measures (safety plates, safety valves, breather valves, flame arresters, detonation and deflagration arresters),
  • dust collection and air filtration systems,
  • equipment designed for use in areas at risk of explosion due to gases, vapors, mists, or dust,
  • cybersecurity for OT and ICS systems (security of industrial automation, control, and production process systems).

The fair’s program will also feature numerous lectures and demonstrations aimed at production and maintenance managers and engineers, as well as specialists in occupational health and safety, cybersecurity, and risk management systems who are familiar with industrial safety topics.

One of the key highlights of the program will be the “360° Safety in Industry” Conference, aimed at industry representatives, production managers, occupational health and safety specialists, process engineers, and those responsible for process safety, workplace safety, and risk management in industry.
